Sunday/Monday Rewind

We finished our Mad Money series with a BANG!  My prayer is that people will experience freedom and hope in their finances because of the past 3 weeks.  Here are some thoughts from the weekend:

• I'm glad Joey Seales got to come down and lead worship.
• He is amazing on the keyboard and pretty much everything else he does.
• Glad he brought Mandy and Charlie with him... otherwise he would have had to fight some of our folks who love his whole family.
• Zach Benson is a machine... He made yesterday happen.  From music to video, to website stuff that I can't explain,  pulling off band auditions yesterday ... He had a full day... plus, he got to back the trailer!
• I can't believe I made Andrew do the welcome with his voice like it was.  Feel better, dude!
• Worship was very cool.  Even in rehersal some of our set up crew stopped and worshipped on the spot.
• The video we shot last week came off well... had some issues with dropping it into Pro Presenter the night before but their tech support is second to none! 
• I can't believe we gave away over $1000 yesterday... When I announced the reverse offering, I could see people's eyes get bigger.  This was just like Christmas.
• Our offering yesterday... about $1000 more than what it usually is!
• Can't wait for Saturday's ReThink Money Seminar with Casey Graham. 
• There's still room to sign up... we'd like to get about 3-4 more families to sign up.  Do you know anyone you can bring?  We even have scholarships available.
• This week is going to be incredible!  We start "Road Trip--The Road to Becoming a Passionate Christ Follower".  I'm excited about this first message... and the video (it is still top secret until Sunday!)
• Mother's Day this Sunday... Baby Dedication... New Series... Lots to do!

Sunday Mind Dump

• We had a great day today despite having our students out at youth camp
• Worship was awesome today... Zach, Meredeth and BJ really brought it.
• It was great to see some folks that have been out for a while.
• The air conditioning system at Lee Scott is ticking me off bad.
• It rained like crazy today... but we got a break just as we were unloading the trailer... then when we were loading it up again... it let up just enough for us to keep from getting soaked.
• The message this morning challenged me big time.
• It was awesome to see the huge number of people who raised their hands because they committed to fast for at least a portion of the week over the next 7 days.
• Our students are at youth camp and I'm hearing some great stuff that God's been doing there.
• Cole Thompson  is doing a great job leading our students. 
• I am praying that God does some BIG STUFF in people's lives this week as they fast and pray.
• I hope folks will share their experiences about fasting with all of us on this blog.
• We've got some really cool folks at Journey and I love spending time with them... I'm going to have breakfast with Jeremy this week and hopefully we'll get together to see DIE HARD... Can't wait!
• We're going to baptize folks this coming weekend... Dang, there's a lot of stuff to get ready for next weekend!
• I love being a pastor
• I love being the pastor of Journey Church
• We're building some great momentum toward the fall!
• I can't wait for my Abby to get home from youth camp tomorrow
• I hope Seth's All Star Team wins tomorrow night.
